This is hair splitting at the end of progress: The fact that 3D skeletal animation is still using 4x4 matrices in the GPU means the math developed for this around Half-Life 1 (on CPU?) is still the bleeding edge. 1998 -> 2024 = 26 years! In 1000 years 3D animation will still be the same. End of story. |
