I use a throwaway account because any talk whatsoever about these things is enough to get fired from most left-leaning startups. So deal with it. Original comment was upvoted but still got flagged, which is evidence of exactly the type of sensitive bullshit I’m referring to. |

disagreement =/= sensitivity. This kind of stuff is what many come here to avoid, because ultimately it leads to flame wars, and half of HN's policies and guidelines more or less come down to "don't flame".
You can talk about such issues without being flagged, but you need to actually talk about them, not mud sling. Maybe not without downvotes, because I'm not going to pretend HN doesn't have its kneejerk topics, but flagging a good 95+% of the time comes for good reason (at least on comments).
