Why is this article so ridiculously politically charged?

Is it impossible to just report on the blunder without having to bring up Biden, left/right, slave owners, yada yada yada?

Or does Techcrunch realize they don't have anything interesting to add to the conversation so they just add a bunch of unrelated politics BS to juice up engagement?

I understand this is a political topic, but this article takes it to overdrive for no reason.
