I've been working with WordPress recently and I found this article amusing, given that Wordpress's next Gen editor (Gutenberg) uses React. In order to implement the design I was given, I needed to create some custom blocks, which need to be created using React.

That is true, but React in WordPress functions more like an enhancer than the whole thing. But I am part of the group of people who think bringing React in is likely the wrong call.
