One of the issues is that your car makes it harder for other people to get around by bike or bus, or walking. Also, if you price street parking appropriately people don't need to circle for blocks. Cars _are_ exclusive. They're one of those things where the more people get them, the worse the experience is for existing users. It makes sense to price their negative externalities appropriately. |
