I did the same, and had the exact same insights. There's nothing worse than being far from home, communicating with a group of friends or a loved one through a language barrier, and realizing that you've been alone inside your own head for many years, to the point that the moment you step foot in your homeland, you immediately strike up an easy conversation with a random stranger. |
