Have you looked into freelance opportunities? There's a thread here at HN [0]. Twitter and LinkedIn can also be used for that. Apart from that, and as others have also recommended, building a portfolio is a great approach towards employability. Eat healthy, exercise, meditate, socialize. Do not despair.
