A meter is a displacement vector with a basis vectorthe length of the path travelled by light in a vacuum during a time interval of 1/299,792,458 of a second. In physics the length of the basis vector is set to 1 if possible which is called 'natural units' But the SI system is the domain of Metrology, not physics. |
