No, we just have a habit of putting up with needless inconvenience. It's ingrained in us somehow, possibly as a result of the deprevations during and after WWII. At some point you just have to accept that there are certain things the Americans have gotten right, and we haven't. Family-sized fridges, laundry machines which are roughly colocated with clothes storage and (arguably) sink-based garbage disposals are examples of that. |
