In the short time I have doing open records requests, presistence is key.

Usually, first, you have to fail or get some information. Then you send another request. Then another, and you start to drill down. I have also inadvertently received unredacted information, which led me to more requests. I have 5 records requests with Colorado, on the 5th request, someone picked up the phone and helped me solve a problem.

In my particular case, I set out to fight the government. My purpose was specifically if I am having issues with the government services then people with less resources and time are even more disadvantaged than myself. So I'm fighting the battle for them and my civic duty... It's also why I wear black (Johnny Cash reference.)

If it's cops harrassing you then, I'm willing to bet they are doing it to others as well.

The beauty of chapGPT is it can write emails for you with little effort on your part.
