Using ChatGPT as a tool makes as much sense as allowing a human assistant to take the exam with you. In an open-book test, you have to know what you're looking for and roughly where to find it in the book. That implies some knowledge. With ChatGPT you could type the question verbatim and get a potentially right answer, without even understanding the answer at all. It is therefore unacceptable for use on any exam. |
