Ah thank you, that's very helpful. I can see how you wouldn't want to move your hand from mouse to keyboard for keyboard shortcuts that aren't one-handed, but the pie menu would allow you to develop a spatial/directional muscle memory (like keyboard shortcuts have) that linear context menus don't have.

Exactly the context I was missing -- I've never done any 3D modeling!
