Are YouTube channel RSS feeds now disabled?
16 points by ChrisHardie 877 days ago
Google has historically provided an unofficial endpoint to access an RSS feed of videos for a given YouTube channel, at "https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=your_id_here". As of today it seems to be 404. Is this intentional and permanent? If so, it's a loss for the open web, and it seems like a lot of feed readers, website widgets and other tools depending on this endpoint will be unhappy very soon.

Edited to add: looks like this feature is back online now, 21:05 UTC Monday. Glad it was temporary!

Its definitely not just you ( https://www.reddit.com/r/rss/comments/1aduw8j/did_youtube_ki... ). I'm seeing the same thing for all the YT RSS feeds that I follow.
They break a few times a year in my experience but not normally for this long. Been returning HTTP 404s since around 3pm GMT.
Same here. Recommended a friend to install FreshRSS today. Friend quickly got back saying YouTube feeds were broken. Checked and they were. Can only hope it's temporary, but it'd surprise me if it was given the aggressive enshittification of everything.
