I think the apartment writing is symptomatic of the extreme, highly educated, San Francisco bubble many live in. The people I know in real estate are not reading Hemingway on the weekend and appreciate fine writing. They are blue collar guys with good business sense and good at fixing housing. The writing style of the tenant matters to them zero.
