The coherent vision for Bandcamp is: - Give a place for independent musicians to upload their music to showcase and sell music and merch with one click and no fuss (and a reasonable sales cut). - When fans buy music, they get the files (no app, software, DRM, or any bullshit). That's all. Nothing more is needed. The "alternative" doesn't offer that. It will fail. |
