Our small team of 3 prepared for 3 weeks to launch on ProductHunt and the result was not as good as we expected honestly... Obviously we were happy to get number 1, but we only got around 1k site visitors. The only good thing is, 1st place is good for credibility and to attract investors. Anyway, a week after the launch I decided to post on Reddit our strategy on how we got 1st place on ProductHunt and to my surprise that post itself brough 1.2k site visitors and it took me only 30 minutes to write... In other words, if you want to get 1st place on PH, just think again whether you really need it, cause you need to spend lots of time and energy to get it. |
