They're typically about reducing burn. Whether management knows how to identify and fix core problems is a totally different question.

Brex is a leveraged play on start-up fundraising. They're a fundamentally cyclical business.

I have seen them do so in the past. But they need to be very targeted similar to surgery. There's some tumor in the company and you need to identify what that is and remove all of it.

I've seen it effectively done once.
