Essentially instead of running a not so trivial stack on both ends to handle USB4/TB4 virtual channel system over which you then tunnel PCIE L2 packets, it's straightforward, unmodified, PCIE connection with at most retimers/signal conditioners on both ends. OTOH, it's only PCIE signal. |
