This is a new level of bending to Apple's inadequacies.

How about Apple figure out that streets with different but similar names exist? Or store "home" as a coordinate instead of an address?

All in the same town. Unlike most street name splits (like West Main / East Main), they're not even connected. Very little chance they'd change street names over this.
