I've noticed this too. I always assumed it was meant to make price comparison more difficult for consumers. A recent FTC lawsuit [1] made me realize it could also be meant to prevent the seller's platform from doing price comparison ("if Amazon discovers that a seller is offering lower-priced goods elsewhere, Amazon can bury discounting sellers so far down in Amazon’s search results that they become effectively invisible") |
