Humans are messy and sub-optimal. Optimization processes will always favor robotic adherence to optimal characteristics which means, unless constrained, our humanity is on the chopping block. There’s a reason phrases like “worker bee” have become common, it’s because people feel like they’re expected to be drones at work instead of humans. |
