Well frame.work and Fairphone for starters. Milling blocks of aluminium like that even if the alu is recycled is still wasteful. It takes a massive amount of energy on both the milling(also consumables lost) and on the recycling. A moulded alu part that required less milled off it would have been a good starter over using a full billet block. It feels absurd their using billet alu on a device that definitely won't have a 10 year lifespan. |
