I honestly wouldn't walk around in most U.S. cities, with all the street violence and homelessness plaguing the nation. Drug needles everywhere, trash, human feces. Why take the risk?

It's kind of funny how easy it is to find someone who hasn't set foot in a US city in years based on comments like these.
I literally live in Miami. I deal with it everyday.
Live in Seattle, work downtown, walk a mile to my apartment after work. Not that far off from the description... Two words, PIONEER SQUARE
Downtown Atlanta is also starting to approach this.
I haven't observed a substantial change in the last four years in the cities I live in and frequent. If anything, my neck of the woods in Chicago has improved a bit... not that it was ever a poo-riddled wasteland to begin with.
How do you know it's not dog poop?
Because dogs tend to at least shit in the grass. A drug addict, will just pop a squat anywhere.
