Yeah something that is really hard to see in these US and Europe focused HN comment sections is that the united states is the legitimate enemy of a great many people. They have not imagined or misunderstood the situation. We will, and in many cases have, destabilized their countries, armed despots and helped execute coups, routinely killed civilians including children, blockaded regions causing famine and preventable death by the millions. We justify this that it is better for the world overall if we do it. Maybe we are right. But that doesn't put the legs back on your children we cannot expect everyone to love us for it. |
