My own desktop is a mid tier machine from 2013 and I do game on it and it still is fine. Of course, not everything will run on a ten year old machine, but surprisingly many games still work fine. I am thinking about an update for some time and holding back because of the much increased price and annoying availability issues, but unless I want to play something high end like say, cyberpunk, which I really would like, I don't think I would actually need a real "gaming machine" to play much of what I play today. Just a few more gigs of vram would go a long way (I only have 1). |
