It's just the same as any other Mastodon server, and the client is just a custom version of elk.zone.

No. This is what I read when trying to create an account.

If you want to signup especifically to mozilla.social server, sure you will need an invite.

What I am saying though is that you can get an account at any other server and still talk/follow people from mozilla.social.
