Gentoo started doing binary packages ;)

But all the cool kids are running Arch, Pop or Void.

Depending on which thing we're discussing, the easy replacements are Ubuntu->Debian and Snap->Flatpak

Mint has been comfy and doesn't have Snap running by default.
