Oy. The morally correct way would be to, at minimum, allow subscribers to opt out. It might even be acceptable if opting out was a "feature" of their paid plans. The tiniest consolation is that the revised TOS doesn't apply until subscription renewal for paying customers, which is pretty much the bare minimum "ethical terms change" approach I can think of. |
