… or morality is periodic. Carried along by the rip tide of modernity, do we not recoil in shock in some instances, become lazy and lax in others? Aren’t we at times overreaching indulgence or unsympathetic obstruction? Could moral reflection merely be a part of our social evolution? We live in trying times. Prosperity and convenience are not moral indicators. |
