In special relativity you can only talk about ‘rest frames’ that are not accelerating. For instance it would say the laws of physics and speed of light, etc. are the same in my rest frame and that of a train going by at a constant speed. It doesn’t apply, however, for an accelerating reference frame and a rotating frame is accelerating and you need general relativity to work it out. |
