It's strange that I have the opposite feeling while consulting. I work for a "big tech" company and do consulting work on the side, and it's the former that has all of the Slack/Zoom/Agile/meaningless nonsense -- with consulting I feel as though I'm actually solving a problem for a business in a meaningful way. I guess all consulting gigs aren't created equal - I guess I've managed to avoid the bad ones so far. |
