Is it based on phanpy.social? The UI is similar to it! Github: https://github.com/cheeaun/phanpy

Yup it's a fork of Phanpy, which is an awesome web client for mastodon that I found to be a great starting point for the project.
What are the changes from Phanpy to Agora? And what should my main reason be for using Agora instead of Phanpy?
- When viewing a post by a user on a different instance than yours, Agora automatically loads your instance's version of the post so that you can like/boost/comment on it without having to manually switch it over to that version.

- You can log in to a Mastodon, Bluesky, or Nostr account on Agora and it'll pull in your following/followers list from that account, while still allowing you to view/interact with posts from the other 2 protocols using bridges behind the scenes.

- I've integrated those bridges into the search, so that if you search for a Bluesky handle like aoc.bsky.social or a nostr users hex code, it'll automatically know to use the bridges for those protocols and search for the bridged profile.

- When you follow a hashtag like #linux, it'll automatically follow the corresponding Lemmy community for that topic, so that you see posts from linux@lemmy.ml in your feed.

- This one's still a work in progress: when you first log in, Agora will show you suggested profiles for a variety of topics, and allow you to bulk or individually follow accounts per topic, to help with content discovery.

Nice, thanks!
If you follow the Privacy Policy link at the bottom, you land on a Phanpy page.
