Right but it’s a survey, so the people who don’t care don’t respond to the survey. If over samples people who are worried about crime.
Different conclusion, but ultimately the same result. Crime rates are roughly at pre-covid levels, which are still historically low. The most alarming crime trend is violence against children, which is due to school shootings.
I'd like to see a source that supports that, ryan_lane.

The article says "The Crime Lab has found that in Chicago, a startling 90% of youth shooting victims were not active or enrolled at school at the time they were shot."

Isn’t that talking about a different time period though?
