Ask HN: Where's the "Exercise at Home" Movement?

Many people seem to have a "work from home" preference. Some seem to prefer going to an office for social reasons. I wonder, where the "exercise at home" movement is, considering that gyms don't tend to be very social places? Gym membership fees are also not cheap and one has to commute to the gym. Do people believe that gyms are more effective than exercising at home?

We have these things that are sponsored by insurance companies where you jog/run through the outdoors and do exercises at various stations along the way.

The States even had them when I was a kid.
