It's not wasted, people pay for it out of pocket so it gives them pleasure, everyhting space related is extracted by taxpayers at gunpoint either by government or by companies which are specialized in hunting for subsidies and tax breaks like all Musk companies are.

The only defence mechanism against such theft are Bitcoin and Caymans, BVI, Bahamas, St. Kitts Nevis and special arrangements in Liechtenstein and Curacao . Basically all layman have denied access to such structures so only Bitcoin remains and it's very unstable.
