'can be monetized' isn't enough today. The modern internet is a shopping mall: Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, "tipping" people $5 on a livestream, subscribing to a paid newsletter or Patreon.... that’s the world Google wants. Money sloshing around the system and them getting a cut each time. |
