I too have the HD598, great open headphones: you can hear environment noises perfectly well, and they sound great. When I need some insulation, I use the Audio-Technical ATH-M40X. Also sounding great, quite faithful, like the HD598. The price is similar.

Not really? Hard to find new though, 598 is older model, 599 is almost the same and more available
