Agreed, and yeah - it's actually the one thing I've ever submitted (I'm a relative n00b), but it didn't get any ups.

I feel strongly about pushing it and getting it out there though. What's the etiquette on resubmissions?

I think you can definitely resubmit, but pick your time wisely, there are many HN discussions on this.
