IIIUC custom search engines on iOS are a hack and they just have an extension which captures your google queries and redirects them to Kagi. https://help.kagi.com/kagi/getting-started/setting-default.h... They recommend their own Orion browser which is the only browser on iOS that uses a webkit fork, which can install browser extensions intended for chrome and firefox |
