There are plenty of alternatives, as well of several calls for using them. For example you can't use Lena in any Nature journal, and they suggest ‘Cameraman’, ‘Mandril’ or ‘Peppers’. In other words, there is practically speaking a well established alternative, and the remaining task is to badger all the holdouts into switching. |
