Being able to put powerful AI models on an offline device opens up a lot of new computing interfaces. Meta smart glasses, Humane AI pin as examples. I don't know if these specific devices will win but I think in the next few years a device like this will have an "iPhone" moment as Apple did in 2007.

Is that really possible? Can hardware ever be that powerful in such a small size to run AI while also being profitable to the company?

Also, what do you think would be the usecases of this AI on the edge that we already don't have? and what kind of interfaces would open up?

Device only needs to do inference which is much less resource intensive and chips designed for training. Macbook M-chips a great for inference and don't use much power. Big use cases here is around a device processing realtime vision, audio.
