This is honestly very common, especially for first time managers. I've seen this happen at least 5+ times. Keep in mind that switching back to an IC time doesn't preclude you from being a manager in the future, and I'm fact many people switch from manager to IC back to manager ala https://www.google.com/amp/s/charity.wtf/2017/05/11/the-engi... In terms of advice, talk to your manager about the fact that you're struggling. |
