I know that's an easy feeling to slip into (if you're serious), but it doesn't make any sense to feel that way. You know everything about your startup, all of its nuances and exactly how you'll change the world. PG and team know what you happened to write in response to a few questions on a very short application, and a 1 minute video. On top of that, they have to sift through thousands of these apps. There's no doubt that these guys are very good at what they do, but even if you're the next Bill Gates (or Steve Jobs if you prefer), there's a very good chance you'll get overlooked. Incidentally both Gates and Jobs started their companies sans YCombinator. That said, best of luck! |
