Ask HN: Is it worth it to continue building this laravel forge OSS alternative?

Hello, I'm building an open-source alternative to Laravel Forge (screenshot). Initial providers: AWS, Scaleway, DigitalOcean, Google Cloud Source control: Gitlab.com, Github.com, Private instances for both. Features: Deployment through CI, custom SSL, Cron jobs, queues, databases etc.

The idea is to allow community to add more providers, and shape up a good open-source alternative to Forge. I'm halfway through, the question is : is it worth it? Or am I the only one who thinks it's a good idea? Thank you very much for you honest opinion.

it's worth it? Absolutely! Your project fills a gap, and I bet others are itching for something like this. Keep at it, don't let doubts creep in. Super excited to see your tool in action. If you are looking for collaborators, I would like to join.

Thank you, but I find that cipi has much less features as needed. And it looks like it's no longer maintained, so you think that cipi is enough et no need for any improvement? Thanks.

Can you clarify why being open-source won't work? There are many OSS projects driven without funds.
