Ask HN: Notification UX is broken universally. How can someone repair this?

I hate the way notifications bug me. But I don't think I can live in today's world without receiving any notifications. Think of transaction alerts, messages from the boss, and some catastrophic events happening to my servers!

Notification is something that is 100% useful yet totally annoying! Lol.

How do you think notifications could be fixed for the modern world?

I have my Gmail, telegram, and RSS feeds hooked up to GPT-4 to pre-screen for things that are important to notify me about (and might do a summary). Then they pipe to different Slack channels in a personal workspace that have different notification settings. So it's a central place where I can manage all notifications and search/snooze/remind on them.

Otherwise it's all about taking the time to go through the notification settings of each app and customizing to your liking.

Still not great though I don't know a better solution.

Neuralink will fix it. Get on the waiting list.
Well, if we consider Neuralink, that is just another interface. I still don't understand how the UX problem could be solved.
No functional brain, no UX problem. Fixed.
