I can’t say that I’m terribly surprised. AT&T has been complicit in mass surveillance in the past. The first example that comes to mind is Room 641A: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_641A Frankly, I think it’s safer to assume that most (American) communications companies are involved in some level of surveillance. |
