Not listed was a clever encoding for MS-DOS files, XXBUG[1]. DOS had a rudimentary debugger and memory editor. (It even stuck around all the way to Windows XP but didn't survive the transition to 64-bit.) Because it had the ability to write to disk you could convert any file to hexadecimal bytes and sprinkle some control commands about to create a script for DEBUG.EXE.
