how many steps away from Evil Giants do you want? If there is a great little company that offers what you want, run by mom and pop but they host THEIR stuff at google...
Yeah Andrew, I wonder, how much is it possible to escape 'them' at all now? I've had an sdf.org account for ages now, so maybe upgrade with them will do it (I'm currently with (you guessed it) google). I'd just use sdf's minimal website thingy but there's some advantages to having a domain-name-of-ones-own.
