As a developer without open-source contributions, how do you showcase your work to potential future employers, aside from relying on CVs? Curious to hear from fellow devs on HN.
I focus on what value the work did in the organization.
Every company faces different problems, has different definitions of value, and has different cultures.
This is why I talk about the problem the company had, frame the product you developed as part of a larger solution to that problem, and not assume that work would directly map to anyone else.
It's closed source, so don't spill all the beans, because the more you say, the less you are trusted.
