It’s not that they would reject you if they already had some sort of a connection formed with you or that they consider having “green bubbles”to be an absolute dealbreaker. But if you have 5 similarly good on paper dating candidates, you are in the very initial stage of the process with them, and you need to narrow down the list, I don’t think it is that unreasonable to do so based on “the ease of texting.” You gotta narrow down somehow, and if doing so based on “green bubbles” eliminates 1-2 max out of 5 in the very initial stage, it is kind of a not that terrible of a metric. If it was eliminating half or more, it would be a bit more questionable. Of course, eliminating someone for “green bubbles” after you had already developed some interest in is way too much and is indeed a trait that would make one not worth pursuing. |
